All Canadian Self Storage has always placed a lot of importance on friends and community. We were therefore delighted to participate in Leaside’s 100th anniversary. Considering our flagship location, 1 Laird Drive is located in the middle of Leaside, we wouldn’t have it any other way!
“Leaside 100” is a celebration honouring the 100th anniversary of the incorporation of the Town of Leaside. With this being a year long celebration there is a lot of work to do behind the scenes and All Canadian Self Storage was eager to contribute. First and foremost, was the creation of a website. Together with Rick Silver, owner of N49, we co-sponsored and designed a website for “Leaside 100”.
Then All Canadian Self Storage really stepped it up, when owner/operator Hal Spradling offered to host the opening gala at 1 Laird Drive! The transformation was unbelievable. With the storage facility decorated with plants, green turf covering the concrete floors and a wooden dance floor the party was ready to start. With “The Toronto All Star Big Band” playing in the background, guests were treated to champagne, martinis, fine wine, and a gourmet dinner. All Canadian Self Storage was also thrilled to welcome a very special guest to the facility, our Prime Minister, Stephen Harper. He, along with other local dignitaries, Premier Kathleen Wynne, John Carmichael M.P. and Councilor John Parker, reminisced about their earlier days in Leaside. It was a great evening due to the efforts of the “Leaside 100” committee, co-chaired by Virginia Evoy and John Piper. Special thanks should also go to Councilor John Parker who represents Ward 26, Don Valley West.
The All Canadian Self Storage staff certainly helped make it a night to remember! We are always open for self storage and as a venue for charitable events. Hal Spradling (416)277-1446
